“PRAYOJANAM CHASYA –

 SWASTHASYA SWASTH RAKSHANAM, AATURASYA VIKARPRASHAMANAM CH” (CH.SM.SU. 30/26)

According  to charak samhita ayurveda has two main objectives

First ‘Swasthasya Swasthya rakshanam”   i.e. to maintain the health (Wellness) of healthy person.

Second is “Aaturasya vikar prashamanam”  i.e. to treat the diseased person to become healthy & to stay healthy forever.
